THE GOLF TEE ANNOUNCES WINNERS
OF "TOURNAMENT OF CHAMPIONS 2002"


     Sixty young golfers and their parents crowded The Golf Tee grass tee for the 2002 Tournament of Champions September 14. Organized by teaching professional Roger Sawyer, the tournament provided one last chance for his summer junior golf campers to compete in several skill areas.
      Receiving trophies and applause from the gallery were:

Putting Tournament: 
5 to 8 year olds	Teddy McCabe
9 to 12 year olds	Michael Quinn
13 to 17 year olds	Mike Mastrosimone

Chipping Tournament:
5 to 8 year olds	Teddy McCabe
9 to 12 year olds	Steven Rossi
13 to 17 year olds	Josh Matrachisia

Long Drive Tournament:
5 to 8 year olds	Jake Meyer
9 to 12 year olds	Danny Hefner
13 to 17 year olds	Jim Vianco

     The "Happy Gilmore" Long Drive Competition was won by James Melich in the 9 to 12 age group and Nicole Vanzo among 13 to 17 year olds.
